My name is Gelisicia McElroy, and I am the CEO and primary tutor for Competent Nurse Academy.

Gelisicia has a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and a Master of Science degree in Nursing with a concentration in Family Nurse Practitioner both acquired from Troy University.  She has a license as a Registered Nurse, and she is also a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner.  With over 15 years of experience in healthcare and instructor roles in teaching both LPN and RN students in the clinical & classroom settings, it is her passion to equip the next generation of nurses with the adequate tools needed to become confident and competent in their field.
